Lobby Signs for Professional Spaces in Southeast Texas

A lobby sign is the first branded moment a client or visitor experiences inside your space. Done well, it signals professionalism, stability, and attention to detail before you say a word. Dimensional lobby signs — letters and logos with depth, mounted directly to the wall — are the standard for law firms, medical offices, financial advisors, and any professional business that wants clients to feel they are in the right place.

What to know before you order.

Lobby signs are viewed at close range, so material quality and finish matter more here than for outdoor signage. Standoff-mounted letters — raised off the wall on aluminum spacers — cast a subtle shadow line that gives the sign visual depth. Backlit (halo) lobby signs add a premium feel but require a power source at the wall. We recommend requesting a material sample before committing to finish if you have not seen the material in person.

Good to know before ordering

Lobby signs are a permanent interior installation. If you are in a short-term space or a sublease, check your lease before committing to a mounted sign. For temporary or trade show environments, a high-quality printed fabric backdrop or printed foam board logo display is a practical alternative.

Questions About Lobby Signs

What is the difference between a flat-cut sign and a dimensional lobby sign?

A flat-cut sign is a single layer of material (acrylic, aluminum, PVC) with your logo or name cut to shape and mounted directly to the wall. A dimensional sign uses the same approach but mounts on standoffs — aluminum spacers that hold the sign away from the wall, creating depth and a shadow line. Dimensional signs read as more substantial and are the industry standard for professional office environments.

Can you match my brand colors exactly?

Yes — we color-match painted finishes to your exact PMS or CMYK values and can provide a physical color chip for approval before fabrication. Powder-coated finishes are the most durable option for painted aluminum. Acrylic is available in hundreds of standard opaque colors and can be custom color-matched in most cases.

Do lobby signs require any electrical work?

Only if you want backlit (halo) lighting. Standard flat or standoff-mounted signs are non-illuminated and require no electrical work — just wall anchors. Backlit signs need a low-voltage power supply and a wall outlet or hardwired connection near the sign location. We will note the electrical requirements during the design phase.

How do I prepare my wall before the sign is installed?

We do a wall assessment before installation and tell you exactly what is needed. Drywall, concrete, brick, and wood paneling all mount differently. For stud-mount applications on drywall, we locate studs or use toggle anchors rated for the sign weight. For concrete, we use anchor bolts. Most lobby sign installations take 1–3 hours with minimal wall disturbance.

Can I include my logo artwork in the lobby sign?

Yes — dimensional logos are one of the most requested lobby sign elements. We work from your vector logo file (AI, EPS, or SVG preferred) and reproduce it at lobby scale. If you do not have a vector logo, we can either recreate it or work from a high-resolution raster file. Contact us with your logo and wall dimensions and we can recommend the right scale.
